It was good, after last year’s Covid cancellation, to welcome so many members and friends to our traditional Burns Night Dinner and Dance. The Haggis was piped in by Kevin Haig and addressed in great style by Bob Logan. The Masonic Lodge staff delivered us a tasty – and filling- meal all efficiently and pleasantly served with a smile. Don Pringle oversaw the proceedings. Andrew Morrison spoke of the traditions associated with Robert Burns and proposed ‘the Immortal Memory’. David Potter and his niece, Fiona Shore resumed their sparring for the ‘Lad and Lasses’ – another clear victory for the lasses! Schuggie got us all on the floor and worked us hard with a mix of good cèilidh dances. Thanks to all whose hard work made this possible!
