Members of the Association met at Gedling Country Park on Saturday 9th March for a sponsored walk in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. It was a cold and blustery day but ,after a welcome coffee in the 1899 Café, we set off, undaunted, into the teeth of a gale. The walk took us most of the way round the park with horizontal driving rain alternating with sunny intervals. ‘Bracing’ is the word which comes to mind! Having completed our walk, we moved on to the warmth of the Tree Tops Inn for a very welcome lunch. We don’t yet have the total amount raised, but is now (11th March) up to £625. A good morning’s work!
